Born and raised in the culinary-rich city of Naples, Italy, Angelo Sannino developed a deep passion for authentic Italian cuisine at an early age. Growing up surrounded by time-honored traditions, he gained a profound appreciation for classic cooking techniques and the importance of high-quality ingredients. In 2002, Angelo made the bold move to San Francisco, eager to share his love for Italian food while pursuing new opportunities. Over the years, he has had the privilege of managing several renowned, high-end restaurants, including Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills and Trattoria Dell’Arte in New York City. In 2014, alongside his business partner Gianni Chiloiro, Angelo co-founded Doppio Zero, bringing the flavors of Southern Italy to the Bay Area. He later expanded his culinary footprint with the opening of Gusto Mio, an authentic Italian pizza and focaccia restaurant in Walnut Creek. Today, Angelo is proud to bring FRATM to San Rafael, a restaurant inspired by his roots and dedicated to celebrating the spirit, flavors, and traditions of his hometown, Naples.
